NEWS/EVENTS

Every now and then i will post to keep you abreast of events going on in the area or with updates and special offers so do keep coming back to check it out.

TENBY BOXING DAY SWIM

Feeling brave? Don your swimming costume and take the plunge over the festive season! A bracing dip is the perfect opportunity to join hundreds of others daring to face the icy waters and raise some money for charity, followed by a hearty bowl of soup (and maybe a glass of something even stronger) This Boxing Day dip takes place annually on the 26th of December making the date for this year’s event, Friday 26th December 2025. The location of choice is North Beach, The Boxing Day Swim in Tenby begins at 11am with swimmers taking to the water from 11:30am onwards.

DOBBY’S GRAVE

Harry Potter fans can find Dobby’s Grave on one of the sand dunes

overlooking Freshwater West Beach

PATERNOSTER FARM

This was a great find and on my doorstep. For a meal with a difference try Paternoster Farm (@paternoster_farm). It is a 5 minute drive from The Burrows and a great treat. A field to fork experience with home cooked food, small plates, food either from their own farm and garden or a wealth of local suppliers. Booking needed Tel: 07900-244692 or book online

THE OLD POINT HOUSE, ANGLE

This pub has just opened under the care of Pembrokeshire Beach Food Company where they have their famous Cafe More burger van now placed in the garden as well as a restaurant inside the pub. A great walk round from West Angle Beach or just drive their to drink, eat and relax with views over Angle Bay

FRESHWATER WEST WALK

https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/.../freshwater-west...

There is a great 2 mile circular trail that starts just behind the far end car park - a gentle meander that takes in sand dunes, wetland and hay meadows, home to rare plants, ground nesting birds and interesting insects. Can walk straight from The Burrows with no need to get in your car
